Lethe: Hello haetae! I’m happy that things have led you back to this place, all the more so that your early memories of it involve my Liar Game shrine. It reminds me of my own experience in the early web, without a (suitable) website to link to wonderful sites I had visited, relying solely on the occasional browser bookmark… How I could vividly remember browsing a shrine or fanlisting, but not remember the domain, only to stumble upon it again much later, sometimes under a different domain, with a different layout, or even through the internet archive.It’s an honour to hear that my sites have inspired you to make shrines of your own! I hope you have fun making them, whatever shape they take. Honestly, I think the most important thing about making shrines (any creation, really) is figuring out what you want to make and what works for you. Whether or not you can make it depends on the answers to those two. If you’d ever like to share your shrines, know that I would be interested and happy to see what you’ve made. x)

I hope this message finds you well. As someone who enjoys delving into contents of your site, I've always wanted to leave an entry on your guestbook. Unfortunately, my procrastination leaves me utterly dismayed, particularly as no words can truly fathom and express my deep appreciation for your work that you've poured so much love and time into. Today, I made sure I wanted to do just that, so please excuse my VERY long entry.
Since your recent revamp of Valkyrie and the release of Refugium, I've returned several months later to find out, to my surprise, a huge facelift for Oubliette! I love how the visuals was referenced from your update log/repository design. As an avid space and sky (or more so described as an astrophile) aficionado, the serenity of space always cultivates me. The mesmerizing myriad of stars blends perfectly well with the abstract botanical design; the watercolour strokes mixed with modern boho accented gold is such a perfect combination. Not to mention, your contents always leave me perplexed because you always manage to keep your writing never boring to the audience. Every section is greatly detailed and your writing transitions seamlessly with the rest.
Aside the layout, I must add that the message in a bottle for your guestbook is truly a unique concept and I love how this design implements well with the ongoing sea theme as a whole. I feel that messages from the sea is a fascinating, and poignant, collection of such missives. Honestly, having a guestbook hosted under our own servers give us more control how things are laid out, which brings me to the next topic--the LAYOUT ARCHIVE! Back then, I've always wanted to host my designs via Tumblr like everyone else, but the fear of getting my hard work purged without my knowledge scares me. That said... Lethe, I'm going to expect that new layout archive hosted by you sooner or later!
Overall, the revamp is very refreshing and was worth the wait despite the number of years of being dormant. I truly cannot wait for the next surprise you have entail for us this year!

I am very touched about the care you put into expressing your feelings, and am honoured to receive a detailed account of what you see when you’re looking. Your appreciation from all the wordless times before has certainly reached me through your message. <3 (I quite like the worldless “time-lag” appreciation in this part of the web, the way someone may suddenly surface and reveal themselves as a long-time visitor. Or the way we know of and appreciate each other’s creations, made visible by linking to each other without having spoken, often for years.)
The guestbook concept is such a sweet little thing for you to comment on haha! I’m really glad I could visit your guestbook soooo many times while remaking mine; it was one of the guestbooks that showed me what’s possible and that I can customize the script if I just keep at it. ;_;
In the same vein, I already know I’ll be visiting your layout archive many, many times when I finally get to remaking mine. Thank you for your enthusiastic encouragement on this point! Knowing that someone is looking forward to that archive will spur me on when I finally get to it.

I studied Classics in university, and I enjoyed spotting all the references throughout. I've watched a few Satoshi Kon films and really enjoyed them (Perfect Blue is AMAZING!), but I haven't seen Millennium Actress yet. I'll watch it tonight on your recommendation!

We've talked about it elsewhere but I'm logging it over here as well, that the new layout and (gestures around) it is beautiful, fantastic, excellent. New information to you though is that ever since the revamp, I haven't closed the tab with your site(s). I'm just coming back to it every once in a while, pacing back and forth like a distressed tiger who thinks if I come back later maybe there will be more words or something. Like the ones you have aren't enough?! Though it is true that I keep rereading and maybe there ARE more words every time, well, at least it's me who understands them in more ways.
And the new layout on the guestbook makes me feel like I'm writing something positively Ponderous in this box! Wow! (Love the little fishies. Where are they going?).

Lethe: eeeee a wild Rosy has appeared in my guestbook!!HAHA ikr the header seems so heavy for a casual guestbook; I wanted to use the image no matter what, but it wasn't until I looked for a poem to fill that blue spot that I thought, uh, bit too srs. The fishies are checking out the messages so they know where to swim to next!
Thank you so much for the beautiful thoughts. I am very flattered (and relieved) that you are nestled within my pages... but. it is also actually true that. I kept. adding. and rewriting. some words. in the past months. Took me a while to be happy with everything!
